Fiesta Birthday Party

Ohhhhhhh my goodness… my oldest is officially a 5 year old  and my youngest is 1!

I’m out of the baby stage… wait WHAT?!

It’s like I blinked and here I am. Gosh…. such conflicting emotions about my last baby not actually being a baby anymore but… I can honestly say I am also embracing the season of life ahead.

Our family celebrates 4/5 birthdays in a span of 3 months (September-November), so to say the end of the year is complete chaos is an understatement.

Plus adding Thanksgiving and Christmas right after that… don’t get me started…

Brooklyn and Chase are only 2 weeks apart and both celebrated some big numbers (IMO) this year, so I decided the easiest way to celebrate would be to have a combined birthday party.

After contemplating for weeks on how to combine a boy and girl themed party, but also a party that worked well for a 1 and 5 year old I finally decided on a FIESTA style theme.

We had our wonderful friend, Nonni, with Nonnilee Photography capture the party for us and she did an incredible job!

The fun part about a FIESTA theme is you get to use lots of COLOR!

I mixed a lot of blues, greens, yellows, pink…. basically any bright color you can think of you will see in this post. LOL!

I found these amazing invitations at HappyParty Studio on Etsy. She has the most GORGEOUS invitations to choose from. These are the ones that I got  HERE for our fiesta theme.

One way I love to utilize my home for party decorating is clearing off my everyday decor from shelves and replace those items with party decor.

For this party I used a lot of little glass items to decorate my existing kitchen shelves, flowers, authentic Mexican bowls, and succulents!

All the flowers are from Hobby Lobby and were purchased the week that they were 50% off. I also spray painted the “uno” and”cinco” card board letters silver to make them look like metal.

I DIY’d the balloon garlands and you can find my post on how to make your own HERE.

Two major fun item I found were sticky mustaches and mini sombrero’s at Hobby Lobby!

I was on the hunt for a cactus shirt that Alex could wear for the party and Brooklyn Cloth had THE PERFECT button down cactus shirt. It went great with the theme!

The girls shirts are from old navy and I paired them with flower crowns from Ellis Originals 501 on Etsy. She has a large selection to choose from or you can also inquire about a more specific look/colors.

It was such a beautiful day celebrating with friends and family!
