Last week we celebrated our sweet Harper girl turning 3 years old!
Fall season brings allllll the birthday crazy for us because our family celebrates 4 birthdays in a 2 month span.
Since this year is a big birthday year for Brooklyn (turning 5) and Chase (turning 1) both in November I decided to go really mellow for Harper’s party this year. And by mellow I mean didn’t buy anything other than the cake and re used things from past parties, LOL!
Even though it wasn’t going to be super extravagant I still wanted to make it special for her. We decided to have immediate family over for cake and ice cream and let Harper open her gifts. I love party planning and creating a fun memory for my kids on their birthday… even if we are doing something really small and casual.
The girls have grown to love party planning and creating reason to throw parties. I’m pretty sure that is because they have picked up my love for it.
I decided to make a balloon garland which is so inexpensive and EASY! Check out my DIY on how to make your own here.
I made this backdrop with sheer curtains I already had in the closet and used clothes pins to hang it!
I DIY’d this Happy Birthday banner from a previous party and hanged it over the back drop.
We were only planning to have cake and ice cream so I used the cake as the center piece on the table along with a runner and some small glass jars filled with greenery and roses.
A couple years ago we found Nicki with The Cupcake Cafe in the Phoenix area. She makes incredible cakes that not only taste good but look SO good (especially the gluten free).
She did an amazing job creating this cute Minnie Mouse cake!
We had such a sweet time celebrating Harper!
I cant wait to share Brooklyn and Chase’s combined birthday that I have planned for November!
