Tribal Adventure Nursery Reveal

Well, after 5 months of Chase being here I have finally completed the nursery with the exception of a couple minor things (like a hamper, etc). I just couldn’t keep myself from posting any longer!

(UPDATE: To see the update on this room click HERE)

My inspiration for this room was originally a mountain theme. I had actually got a quote from someone to get the back wall painted as a mountain mural. After much consideration the $500 quote (did that shock you as well?) just wasn’t worth it and I decided to go a different route so I could implement various types of pieces.

I found these thin gold arrows at Hobby Lobby and fell in love… so I decided to design around them. I went with “Tribal Adventure” so that I could make the room a little more rustic and “outdoorsy”.

The dresser was originally maple wood. I painted the base with Valspar Furniture Paint in “Swiss Coffee”, stained the drawers a dark walnut, and added modern silver hardware.

We purchased the crib at IKEA along with the shelf brackets.

My hubs made the shelf out of pine wood and stained them to match the dresser.

I just really love how this room came together. I’m so thankful I took my time with it.

I am obsessed with glass bottles. I seriously have a stash of soooooo many. I found the ones I used as shelf decor over the last couple months at Michaels/Hobby Lobby.

I added my own “message in a bottle” by painting plain white paper with black tea, letting it dry, rolled it up, and added some brown string to tie closed.

Styling shelves is one of my favorite things.

I knew when I saw these mini cactus at Target I had to have them for this room!

I got this lamp for 50% off at Home Goods- and It was a steal! I LOVE it!

Of course the girls love playing in here too!
